Mozart
Così fan tutte
Ferrando loves Dorabella and Guglielmo loves Fiordiligi – but their friend Don Alfonso wants to test them. He believes women are fickle, and makes a bet with the two young men that he can make their bethrothed become unfaithful. Confident of their girlfriends’ fidelity, Ferrando and Guglielmo accept.
Così fan tutte was Mozart’s third and final collaboration with the librettist Lorenzo da Ponte, following Le nozze di Figaro and Don Giovanni.
