Ariodante
Ginevra, daughter of the king of Scotland, is in love with Ariodante. However, Polinesso also has his eyes on the beutiful Ginerva. He cruelly seeks revenge and tricks Ariodante into believing that Ginevra has been unfaithful to him. Ariodante disappears, believed to have drowned in grief. Ginevra’s honour and life are at stake but who will defend her? When Ariodante reappears, will he be able to set the truth straight?
